Research and Development

With more than 130 m2 for R & D and quality control, HTS BIO offers you a perfectly mastered complete solution.

The multidisciplinary aspect of our team is a fantastic asset for innovation that allows us to constantly improve our products.

By choosing HTS BIO, you benefit from our laboratories' expertise.

Microbiology laboratory

This division is run by a Ph.D. in Microbiology, in close partnership with 2 research directors at the CNRS (Laboratoire de Chimie Bactérienne - Marseilles, France).

Our team has technological tools for mastering processes for cultivating micro-organisms: from isolation, identification, characterization to production of a few millilitres to several thousand litres of bacteria.

This laboratory has developed several axes of research in environmental microbiology:

  • Biosurfactant production
  • Biofixation
  • Waste water treatment (treating grease, reducing nitrogenous compounds, controlling H2S …)
  • Biodegradation of recalcitrant molecules (hydrocarbons, PCBs, phenols…)

The bacterial strains that we study are non-pathogenic and non-genetically modified (class 1 in accordance with the European directive 2000/54/CE).

All of the micro-organisms used are identified and followed up with a DNA control by using the PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) technique.
